A reflection adapted from shared notes on the teaching of Prof. Dr. Lawrence Ibeh, Christ House International Berlin.
Scripture focus: Isaiah 60:1; Habakkuk 2:2–3.
A vision calls for a response. In this teaching, Prof. Dr. Lawrence Ibeh encouraged believers to arise, make the vision plain and act within the appointed time. Knowing what needs to be done is only the beginning; faith must also shape our response.
1. Recognise the call to arise
Isaiah 60:1 begins with a call to arise and shine. This reflection invites us to consider where we have become passive and what responsibility requires our attention today.
2. Make the vision clear
Write down the work before you. A clear vision helps turn a general desire into a direction you can follow. Ask what you are working toward and what the next faithful step should be.
3. Respond with action
The notes warn against postponing work that belongs to an appointed season. Begin with the responsibility already within your reach, and follow through with diligence.
Put it into practice
Identify one task you have delayed. Write down a realistic next step and make time to begin it. Pray for wisdom to recognise the right season and courage to respond.
